BACKGROUND

Jakob is a current member of the Canadian Bar and Southwest Bar Associations.

He served on the Swift Current School Division 94 Board for 12 years, 5 years as Chair, as well as serving 12 years on the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Joint Board of Management, 4 years as Chair.

Jakob has conducted numerous Estate Planning and Incorporating the Family Farm Semnars throughout Southwest Saskatchewan, as well as lecturing to newly qualified Real Estate Agents.

Jakob has coached soccer at the recreational level for 18 years.

He has also served on the Board for S.W. Crisis Services Inc. and for Camp Elim (a camp operated by Mennonite Church of Saskatchewan)

Jakob D. Wiebe received his Law Degree (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) from the University of Saskatchewan.  He was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1979 and became a Partner with the firm in 1980.  Jakob was Agent for the Attorney General of Saskatchewan from 1979 to 1986 and continues as Agent for the Attorney General of Canada since his appointment in 1980.  He has been a licensed mediator since 1987.
